What is the Abstract’s required structure?
Authors are invited to submit?Research Abstracts?or?Case Report Abstracts?following the formats below.
All abstracts must be written in English and cannot exceed 3,600 characters (spaces included).
Images, tables, and graphs may be included; however, when inserted as an image file, they do not count as characters.

Research Abstracts
Your abstract should consist of four paragraphs, each clearly labelled as follows:
Background and Aims:?Explain the background and significance of the problem or topic being studied. Describe why it is important or interesting, and state the rationale or hypothesis for your work (e.g., comparing therapies, studying natural history, or testing a new intervention).
Methods: Describe clearly and concisely how the study was conducted. Include study design, population or data sources, interventions or procedures, and the analytical methods used.
Results: Summarize the key findings of your study. Present quantitative data where applicable. Do not use vague statements such as “results will be presented.”
Conclusions: State the principal conclusions drawn from your findings and how they advance current knowledge or understanding in the field.

Case Report Abstracts
Your abstract should consist of four paragraphs, each clearly labelled as follows:
Introduction: Briefly outline the clinical background and significance of the case. State the key issue or question addressed.
Case Presentation: Summarize the patient’s presentation, relevant history, diagnostic findings, treatment, and outcome, focusing on essential and clinically relevant details.
Discussion: Interpret the findings in the context of existing literature or practice. Highlight the clinical implications and lessons learned from the case.
Why This Case Is Exceptional: Explain what makes this case unique, such as an uncommon presentation, diagnostic or therapeutic challenge, or novel observation, and its relevance to clinical practice.
